Henniker Scientific

Henniker designs and manufactures plasma surface treatment systems and processes for advanced cleaning, surface activation to improve adhesion, and functional nano-scale coatings. The company’s technology is relied upon both in critical industrial manufacturing settings and by leading academics involved in biomedical research, life sciences, energy storage, filtration, and many other areas of material science.

Plasma surface treatments produce unique properties over the entire surface of any material that is processed. Material properties are greatly enhanced, adding significant functional and commercial value to a product and/or replacing other costly and inefficient process steps.

Processes developed by Henniker are used to:-
  • Enable the adhesion of otherwise difficult to bond materials
  • Provide biocompatibility for inert surfaces
  • Coat electronics and consumer devices to render them water and oil repellent
Henniker’s extensive laboratory facilities support its customer needs in the development and testing of all aspects of plasma surface modification on a wide range of materials.

The company achieved UKAS certification to the ISO 9001:2015 standard in 2017, UKAS being the only recognised and government-recommended accreditation body in the UK. The certification confirms that Henniker has developed and operates a system to continuously monitor and improve quality across its entire operations, leading to the highest levels of performance and customer satisfaction.
